This fish takes its name from its dead leaf aspect, which makes side-to-side movements (due to currents) when it is placed on the ground.
It is not uncommon locally, but quite difficult to find because of this camouflage. He is also sedentary and will stay in one place for a while. This makes it easier to observe if someone in the team knows where he is.
Turtles are in economy mode when they are sleeping. If they are woken during night, they may not have enough air to return to surface.
So, please be careful during night dives!
Some sharks can stay motionless on the sand (white tips reef sharks, nurse sharks, etc.).
These sharks don't have to swim to bring oxygen to their gills like other sharks (grey, hammerheads tc.)
The whale shark is the largest fish in the world!
Some whales are larger, but they are mammals, not fish!
